Introduction
Through the stories I
tell in this book, I hope to lead my
readers on their own personal journey to
discover Jesus as He reveals himself in
the ordinary experiences of daily life
as well as in particular Scriptural
episodes. The outcome for them would
ideally be an encounter with Jesus, in a
spirit of freedom, as someone who is
still speaking and acting in our present
world, rather than as a voice from two
thousand years ago that has nothing new
to say to us today.
The stories do not draw conclusions for
the readers, but lead them to ask their
own questions and draw their own
conclusions.
Foreword
Father Frascadore’s
delightful book reminds us of the
oneness with nature we felt as children.
He shares the wisdom to be gained at
Hector’s Market, at grandpa’s knee, and
at the end of Ramsey’s leash. Most
rewarding, I think, are his poetic
insights into the mind of Christ. There
is poetry in the New Testament, but
nothing like the lushness of 150 psalms.
Perhaps God is inviting us to compose
our own psalters. Father Frascadore has
accepted he invitation and shown us what
can be done.
